This year the Little Black Dress (LBD) celebrated its 90th anniversary which means the classic and timeless fashion staple has been around for nine decades. A favourite among women it was designed by Coco Chanel in 1926 in the era of vintage and flapper girls.

Ninety years later and you can update the look with modern day trends such as the 'in' velvet choker or blazer. It makes the ideal classy look for Christmas and Hogmanay parties. 

I bought a strappy LBD from boohoo for £5 in their black friday sale with waterfall detailing.

I know I will get the wear out of it in the upcoming months and year as the LBD is the one dress that never goes out of style.
